Recently Pressley finished a short documentary on The "SHINE" Program.
This film is currently being produced and directed by Ben Peruso. (Ben Peruso, also known as Ben Perri, has spent most of his life in show business as a comedian, writer and director. He performed at many localresorts and currently teaches at Lehigh Carbon Community College and Palmerton High School as a Digital Media Production teacher.

The SHINE Program is an after-school learning program for first to
third graders in 3 Carbon County School Districts.

The program serves Kindergarten children through a home visiting program and is located in four elementary schools. SHINE also serves children in 3 parochial schools.

Byrd was presented an award from the children of the SHINE Program for donating his time to
help the after-school learning program.
The programs will be run three hours a day, four days a week, and will provide academic enrichment in reading, writing and mathematics; homework tutoring; character and relationship-building; and cultural, recreational and learning service activities.

Jeanne Miller, Director of LCCC’s Carbon and Schuylkill Counties Educational Services, says,"Our goal is to set up a seamless network of educational and social services to children and families in Carbon County." Byrd enjoyed working with the children and teaching them the SHINE song.
