October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM).
Throughout the USA, battered women’s advocates join officials, health care providers, business leaders, police officers, faith-based groups, concerned citizens and many others to organize events that raise awareness about domestic violence.
On October 24, 2006 Pressley performed the song,
"You'll Never Walk Alone",
for the Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil at both the
Monroe County Courthouse in Stroudsburg, PA. and at the
Mountainhome United Methodist Church.

On September 27, 2006 Byrd gave a performance at the 2nd Annual
African American Literary AwardsShow
"Saluting Artists of the Written Word."
It is the most comprehensive awards show ever to recognize, honor,
celebrate and promote the achievements of African-American authors and
writers and their contributions to the publishing, arts and entertainment industries.
